From August 26, 2024, visa nationals (including US, Canadian, and Australian citizens as of 2026) must obtain an entry visa for airport transit, even if staying airside. Effective immediately, nationals of Australia, Canada, and the United States must obtain an e-Visa to transit through Brazil. Average processing time is 5 business days. Those remaining in international transit area without clearing immigration generally do not need a visa if they are visa-exempt nationals.
