Transit passengers in Cuba for less than 72 hours are exempt from visa or tourist card requirements and can enter the country. If transit time exceeds 72 hours, tourist card or visa required. E-visa system is now official method - purchasing visa at airport not always available and airlines may refuse boarding without approved eVisa.
