National D Visa for diplomatic and official passport holders assigned to Malta for stays exceeding 90 days. Diplomatic passport holders from some countries may be exempt from short-stay visa requirements under bilateral agreements, but this varies by nationality. For short stays (up to 90 days), holders of diplomatic passports from many countries are exempt from the Schengen visa requirement. Long-stay diplomatic visas require supporting diplomatic documentation. Holders of a United Nations laissez-passer do not need a visa for stays up to 90 days regardless of nationality.
