How to apply

Document gathering
Obtain employment contract from a Slovak employer for a high-qualification position meeting the salary threshold. Have degree certificates recognized/nostrified if needed.

Fill out the EU Blue Card application form.

Fee payment
Pay 232 EUR Blue Card application fee and 90 EUR national visa fee.

Appointment booking
Schedule appointment at Slovak embassy/consulate.

Document submission
Submit all documents in person. All foreign documents must be apostilled/superlegalized and translated to Slovak.

Fingerprints and photograph collected.

Processing wait
Processing takes 30-90 days via the Foreign Police Department.

Visa collection
Upon approval, collect National Visa (D) from embassy. After arriving in Slovakia, register with Foreign Police and collect the Blue Card.
