For long-term business activities in Lithuania, foreigners can apply for a National D visa and subsequently a temporary residence permit for business purposes. The applicant must be a shareholder or a director of a registered company in Lithuania. The company's share capital must be not less than EUR 28,000. The D visa allows initial entry for up to 12 months. For continued stay, a temporary residence permit for enterprise/business must be obtained through MIGRIS. The business must demonstrate benefit to the Lithuanian economy.

    Third-country nationals (non-EU/EEA/Swiss) who are shareholders or directors of a Lithuanian-registered company.

  • Financial

    Company must have share capital of at least EUR 28,000. Must demonstrate the business benefits the Lithuanian economy.

How to apply

  1. Document gathering

    Register a company in Lithuania with at least EUR 28,000 share capital. Gather passport, photos, company registration documents, insurance, accommodation proof, and financial documents.

  2. Online application

    Submit D visa application through MIGRIS. For temporary residence permit, submit through MIGRIS separately.

  3. Appointment booking

    Book appointment at Lithuanian embassy or consulate.

  4. Fee payment

    Pay D visa fee of EUR 60.

  5. Biometrics

    Provide biometric data at the appointment.

  6. Document submission

    Submit all documents in person at embassy/consulate.

  7. Processing wait

    D visa: 15-45 calendar days. Temporary residence permit: up to 4 months.

  8. Visa collection

    Collect passport with D visa sticker. Apply for temporary residence permit after arrival if needed.
