Work permit issued for 1 year or duration of contract if less than 1 year. Can be extended annually. Employer acts as sponsor. Labor market testing required (10-15 days). All qualifications must be notarized and translated to Azerbaijani. Total processing: 40-55 days.

How to apply

1. Document gathering

   Obtain job offer and employment contract from Azerbaijani employer.

2. Online application

   Employer applies for work permit with State Migration Service.

3. Processing wait

   Labor market testing conducted by State Migration Service (10-15 business days).

4. Document submission

   Submit passport, photos, work permit approval, medical certificate, and translated qualifications to Azerbaijani embassy/consulate.

5. Visa collection

   Collect work visa from embassy/consulate.
