Nationals of Annex II countries under EU Regulation 2018/1806 may enter Croatia and the Schengen Area without a visa for short stays of up to 90 days in any 180-day period. Since Croatia joined the Schengen area on January 1, 2023, stays in Croatia count toward the 90/180 Schengen limit along with time spent in other Schengen states. ETIAS pre-travel authorization (EUR 7) will be required from late 2026. The EES (Entry/Exit System) began operations in October 2025. Serbia exception: holders of passports issued by the Serbian Coordination Directorate are not visa-exempt.
