Work visa (Type E) is for foreign nationals employed in Uzbekistan. Requires an invitation from a registered Uzbekistan company and an employment contract for more than 3 months. Employer must obtain a Corporate Work License before employee can apply. Cannot convert from tourist status within the country - must apply at Uzbekistan consulate abroad.

    Provide work permit approval, notification or authorisation evidence from the relevant authority.

How to apply

  1. Document gathering

    Employer obtains Corporate Work License ($30 USD, valid 6 months to 1 year) and completes local labor market search to prove necessity of foreign hire.

  2. Document submission

    Submit work visa application at Uzbekistan consulate abroad (cannot apply from within Uzbekistan on tourist status).

  3. Fee payment

    Pay work permit fee ($810 USD) and E visa fee ($161 USD).

  4. Processing wait

    Wait for processing, which can take up to 3 months including labor market tests and visa application.

  5. Visa collection

    Collect work visa from embassy.
