How to apply

Document gathering
Register business in Slovakia through the Trade Register or Commercial Register. Obtain confirmation of registration or business plan documentation.

Online application
Fill out the application for temporary residence for the purpose of business. All documents must be translated into Slovak by a certified translator.

Pay 232 EUR temporary residence application fee.

Appointment booking
Schedule an in-person appointment at the Slovak embassy or consulate. Apply well in advance due to processing times.

Submit all documents in person at the Slovak embassy/consulate. An interview may be conducted.

Processing takes 30-90 days. The Foreign Police Department examines the application.

Visa collection
Upon approval, obtain National Visa (D) for entry to Slovakia. After arrival, register with the Foreign Police and collect the residence permit card.
