Third-country nationals may apply for a temporary residence permit for self-employment or company establishment in Slovenia. The applicant must register a company (d.o.o. - limited liability company) or sole proprietorship (s.p.) in Slovenia and demonstrate a viable business plan. Minimum investment of EUR 10,000 in share capital required for d.o.o. establishment. The applicant must show the business provides income sufficient for living expenses and contributes to the Slovenian economy. After 5 years of continuous residence, permanent residence may be applied for.
