Nationals from countries not listed under visa exemption or visa-on-arrival arrangements must obtain a tourist visa before traveling to Thailand. Applications are submitted via the Thailand e-Visa portal (mandatory from January 2025) or at a Royal Thai Embassy/Consulate. This includes nationals from countries such as Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Yemen, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, Egypt, Algeria, and others. Some nationalities may require additional security screening, and processing can take up to one month for certain countries as permission from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Thailand is needed.

  4. Processing wait
