How to apply

  1. Document gathering

    Gather all required documents including passport, photos, financial evidence, itinerary, and accommodation proof.

  2. Online application

    Complete the visa application form. Japan eVISA system available for some nationalities at https://www.evisa.mofa.go.jp/

  3. Document submission

    Submit application and documents to the nearest Japanese Embassy, Consulate-General, or authorized visa agency.

  4. Fee payment

    Pay visa fee at time of collection. Single-entry: ~3,000 JPY. Multiple-entry: ~6,000 JPY. Some nationalities exempt.

  5. Processing wait

    Standard processing takes 5 working days. Complex cases may take 1 month or more.

  6. Visa collection

    Collect visa from the embassy/consulate or authorized agency. Visa must be used within validity period.
