How to apply

  1. Online application

    After obtaining clearances, apply online via Nigeria Immigration e-Visa portal. Select Journalist Visa (F7A) and upload clearance certificates.

  2. Document gathering

    First, obtain clearance from Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation and National Intelligence Agency (NIA) before visa application. Then compile all required documents: passport, photos, press credentials, assignment letter from media organization, clearance certificates from Ministry of Information and NIA, hotel reservations, return flight ticket, and yellow fever certificate.

  3. Fee payment

    Pay journalist visa fee online.

  4. Processing wait

    Wait for visa processing including verification of clearances. Processing takes 7-14 business days.

  5. Visa collection

    Receive journalist e-visa electronically upon approval.
