Regular transit visa for nationals of Annex I countries who need to pass through Cyprus en route to another destination. Unlike the Airport Transit Visa, this allows the holder to enter Cypriot territory for up to 5 days. Required when transiting through Cyprus by land or sea. Applicants must provide confirmed onward travel documentation and a visa for their final destination if required.

Airport Transit Visa (ATV) required for nationals of 13 countries when transiting through Larnaca or Paphos airports. This visa permits staying in the international transit zone of the airport only; it does NOT allow entry into Cypriot territory. Valid for under 24 hours. Iranian holders of diplomatic and service passports are exempt from the ATV requirement. Flight crew holding passports from Chicago Convention signatory nations are also exempted. Holders of valid Schengen visas, residence permits from Schengen/EU states, or valid visas from the USA, Canada, Japan, or EEA countries are typically exempt from the ATV requirement.
