For journalists, reporters, photographers, camera crews, and other media professionals from visa-required countries traveling to Norway for short-term reporting, coverage of events, interviews, or documentary production. This is a standard Schengen C-visa with journalism/media as the stated purpose. Visa-exempt journalists can work on short assignments under their 90-day visa-free access. For longer-term foreign correspondent postings exceeding 90 days, a residence permit for work is required. Norway has strong press freedom protections (regularly ranked #1 globally in press freedom).
