Required for nationals of the 12 common-list countries transiting through the international transit zone of Malta International Airport without entering Malta. Malta follows only the common EU list and does not impose additional ATV requirements beyond these 12 countries. Exempt if holding: a valid Schengen visa or national long-stay visa from any Schengen country, a valid residence permit from a Schengen member state, a valid visa from EU/EEA member states, Canada, Japan, or the USA, or a diplomatic passport. Double and multiple ATVs are also available.
