Long Term Social Visit Pass for medical treatment allows foreigners to stay in Malaysia for medical procedures at government hospitals or specialist hospitals. Application must be submitted by hospital representative or patient escort. Patients allowed to bring one escort. Countries with visa-free access can enter on Social Visit Pass and apply for extension based on doctor's recommendation.

How to apply

1. Online application

   Hospital representative or patient submits application through MyIMMS portal or at Immigration Department office.

2. Document gathering

   Prepare passport copy, medical report from Malaysian hospital, doctor's recommendation letter, appointment confirmation, and proof of financial ability to pay for treatment.

3. Processing wait

   Wait 1-3 months for processing. Extension possible based on doctor's report showing continued treatment necessity.

4. Visa collection

   Upon approval, receive Long Term Social Visit Pass valid for duration of treatment (6 months to 5 years).
