Transit visa only necessary if spending more than 24 hours in Kuwait OR if staying under 24 hours but want to leave the airport. GCC citizens do not need transit visa. Travelers not leaving international transit area and staying under 24 hours do not need visa. Single-entry visa, cannot be used for multiple transits or re-entry.

How to apply

1. Document gathering

   Gather required documents: valid passport, confirmed onward flight ticket to final destination, visa for final destination country (if required).

2. Document submission

   Apply at Kuwait embassy/consulate with transit itinerary and all required documents.

3. Processing wait

   Wait for transit visa approval. Processing takes 1-2 weeks.
