    Must be a national of an Annex I country under EU Regulation 2018/1806.

  • Purpose of visit

    Must be a working journalist, media representative, or press correspondent with valid credentials and a genuine assignment in Greece.

How to apply

  1. Online application

    Fill out the Schengen visa application form with journalism/press as purpose.

  2. Document gathering

    Collect press credentials, assignment letter from media organization, financial proof, travel insurance, and accommodation/flight bookings.

  3. Appointment booking

    Schedule an appointment at the Greek consulate/embassy or authorized visa application center.

  4. Document submission

    Attend appointment and submit all documents with passport.

  5. Biometrics

    Provide fingerprints and photograph if not collected in last 59 months.

  6. Processing wait

    Standard processing time is 15 calendar days, extendable to 45 days.

  7. Visa collection

    Collect passport with visa sticker.
