Employment Visa is for foreign nationals hired to work for an Indian company or organization registered in India. Must apply through Indian Embassy/Consulate. Not available as e-visa. Duration is for the period of employment, usually not exceeding one year at a time. Requires minimum salary of INR 16.25 lakhs per annum.

   Gather employment contract signed by both parties, copies of diplomas and professional competency documents, passport copies

2. Online application

   Fill out online visa application form on indianvisaonline.gov.in

3. Appointment booking

   Schedule appointment with nearest Indian Embassy or Consulate

4. Document submission

   Submit application and supporting documents at embassy/consulate appointment

5. Biometrics

   Provide facial biometrics and fingerprints at embassy/consulate

6. Processing wait

   Wait for visa processing by Indian Mission

7. Visa collection

   Collect passport with employment visa from embassy/consulate
