As of January 1, 2025, all visitors from visa-exempt countries must obtain an ETA-IL before traveling to Israel. The ETA-IL only allows a visitor to reach the border crossing into Israel; it does not guarantee entry. Border control officers will make the final determination. Applications should be submitted at least 72 hours prior to departure.

  • Nationality

    Available to citizens of 96 visa-exempt countries who previously could enter Israel without a visa.

  2. Fee payment

    Pay the non-refundable ETA-IL fee of 25 NIS online by credit card.

  3. Processing wait

    Wait for ETA-IL approval, typically received via email within 24-72 hours, sometimes within minutes.

  4. Visa collection

    ETA-IL approval is sent via email. Present this approval along with your passport at the Israeli border crossing.
