The D8 Digital Nomad Visa is for non-EU/EEA/Swiss nationals who work remotely for employers or clients outside Portugal. Available in two forms: (1) Temporary Stay Visa for up to 12 months (no family reunification), and (2) Residency Visa leading to a 2-year residence permit (allows family). Minimum monthly income requirement is EUR 3,680 (4x Portugal's minimum wage of EUR 920 in 2026). For family members: additional EUR 5,520/adult and EUR 3,132/child. A NIF (tax number) and Portuguese bank account are needed.
