How to apply

  1. Document gathering

    The employer submits work permit application to the Slovak Labour Office on behalf of the employee. The vacancy must be listed for 15 business days.

  2. Online application

    Fill out the Schengen visa application form specifying employment purpose.

  3. Document submission

    Submit Schengen visa application at Slovak embassy/consulate with the work permit confirmation from the Labour Office.

  4. Processing wait

    Schengen visa processing takes 15 calendar days, up to 45 days in exceptional cases.

  5. Visa collection

    Collect passport with Schengen visa. Register with the Foreign Police upon arrival in Slovakia.
