How to apply

Online application
Fill out the harmonised Schengen visa application form. Available at Slovak embassy websites.

Document gathering
Gather passport (valid 3+ months beyond departure, issued within last 10 years), 2 photographs (35x45mm), proof of accommodation, return flight booking, travel insurance (EUR 30,000 minimum), proof of funds, and travel itinerary.

Fee payment
Pay the visa application fee of 90 EUR (adults) in cash in local currency at the time of application submission.

Appointment booking
Schedule an appointment at the nearest Slovak embassy, consulate, or VFS Global visa application center. Applications accepted 6 months to 15 days before intended travel.

Document submission
Attend the appointment and submit all required documents in person at the Slovak embassy/consulate or visa application center.

Biometrics
Provide fingerprints and biometric photograph at the time of application if not already in the Visa Information System (VIS). Children under 12 are exempt.
