EU, EEA (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway) and Swiss nationals have full freedom of movement within Croatia. No visa or residence permit required for any duration. Right to live and work freely under EU free movement of persons. National ID card or passport is sufficient for entry. Croatia has been an EU member state since July 1, 2013 and joined the Schengen area on January 1, 2023. After 3 months, EU citizens should register their stay with the local police.
