How to apply

  1. Document gathering

    Obtain employment contract from Czech employer for a high-qualification position with minimum gross salary of 69248 CZK/month. Gather degree certificates and have them recognized/nostrified if needed.

  2. Online application

    Fill out the EU Blue Card application form.

  3. Fee payment

    Pay 5000 CZK application fee.

  4. Appointment booking

    Schedule appointment at Czech embassy/consulate.

  5. Document submission

    Submit all documents in person. All foreign documents must be apostilled/superlegalized and translated to Czech.

  6. Biometrics

    Fingerprints and photograph collected.

  7. Processing wait

    Processing takes 60-90 days via the Ministry of Interior.

  8. Visa collection

    Upon approval, collect 60-day entry visa from embassy. After arriving in Czech Republic, collect the Blue Card from the Ministry of Interior.
