Nationals from visa-exempt countries can enter Thailand for medical treatment under the standard visa exemption for up to 60 days. For most medical procedures including joint replacements, cosmetic surgery, and fertility treatments, visa exemption provides sufficient time. If treatment requires a longer stay, visitors can apply for a 30-day extension at Thai Immigration (THB 1,900) or obtain a Non-Immigrant O visa or Tourist MT visa for medical purposes.
