The Short Stay Medical Treatment Visa allows visa-required nationals to travel to Ireland for up to 90 days for a medical procedure at a private hospital. The medical procedure must not be available in the applicant's home country. The applicant must have a confirmed appointment with a private hospital in Ireland and must be able to pay for the treatment in full. A referral letter from a hospital in the home country is required. Visa-exempt nationals can enter for medical treatment without a visa.
