Schengen airport transit visa (Type A) required for nationals of listed countries when transiting through the international transit area of Romanian airports during a stopover or transfer. This visa does NOT allow the holder to leave the international transit area of the airport or enter Romanian territory. Exempt: holders of valid visas for an EU/EEA member state, or for Canada, Japan, or the United States; holders of residence permits from Schengen states; diplomatic/service passport holders on official duties.
