ECOWAS citizens can enter Nigeria visa-free for up to 90 days for tourism, family visits, and business purposes. They cannot work or study without proper authorization during this period. Valid passport and onward ticket required.

    Citizens of ECOWAS member states (Benin, Cabo Verde, Côte d'Ivoire, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo) are eligible for visa-free entry to Nigeria.

Single-entry tourist visa for leisure travel, sightseeing, and visiting family. Strictly for tourism purposes - does not permit work or business activities. Cannot be extended.

    Strictly for tourism, sightseeing, and leisure activities. No work or business activities permitted.

    Valid yellow fever vaccination certificate required for all travelers. Exemptions for infants under 9 months and adults over 60 years.

How to apply

  1. Online application

    Complete online application on Nigeria Immigration e-Visa portal. Create account, select Tourism Visa (F5A), and fill in personal details, travel dates, and passport information.

  2. Document gathering

    Prepare required documents: valid passport, 2 passport photos, evidence of sufficient funds, flight reservations, accommodation proof, and yellow fever certificate.

  3. Fee payment

    Pay visa fee online using credit or debit card at the end of the application process.

  4. Processing wait

    Wait for visa processing and approval. Check application status online.

  5. Visa collection

    Receive e-visa approval via email. Print and present at Nigerian port of entry along with passport.
