Work permit usually takes 4-8 weeks to process, but full visa process can take 5-16 months. Work permits valid for 1-5 years and must be renewed. Both work permit and work visa are required - permit allows employment, visa allows entry/stay. Citizens of Guatemala, El Salvador, and Nicaragua do not require work permit under CA-4 Agreement.
