e-Visa

• Fee: Standard fee applies (no exemptions for work visas, even for fee-exempt countries)
• Validity: 1 year, renewable for up to 2 years
• Entry: Multiple entry

Primary work visa type for foreign employment in Pakistan. Entry work visa granted for up to 3 months (single entry), extension work visa for up to 2 years (multiple entry). Processing takes 4-8 weeks depending on background checks. Note: Work visa fees apply even for countries normally exempt from visa fees (Afghanistan, China, Japan, Iceland, Malaysia, UAE, Saudi Arabia).

How to apply

1. Document gathering

   Gather: passport, photo, employment contract on stamp paper (signed by employee, employer, and two witnesses), company registration certificate, NOC from relevant authority, educational/professional documentation, formal employment letter

2. Online application

   Complete work visa application through Pakistan Online Visa System with all required documents

3. Fee payment

   Pay work visa fee using credit/debit card (no fee exemptions for work visas)

4. Processing wait

   Wait for processing including background checks and verification of employment justification

5. Visa collection

   E-visa sent to registered email upon approval
