Citizens of Annex II countries (EU Regulation 2018/1806) may enter Italy and the Schengen Area visa-free for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. This covers tourism, business meetings, family visits, and other short-stay purposes. ETIAS authorization will be required once the system becomes operational (expected Q4 2026). UK citizens included post-Brexit. Kosovo (XK) granted visa-free access from January 2024. Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, and Taiwan included with biometric passport requirement.

Must be a citizen of an Annex II country under EU Regulation 2018/1806.
Eligible countries: Albania, Andorra, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominica, El Salvador, Georgia, Grenada, Guatemala, Holy See, Honduras, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Kiribati, Korea (Republic of), Macao, Malaysia, Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Mexico, Micronesia (Federated States of), Moldova (Republic of), Monaco, Montenegro, Nauru, New Zealand, Nicaragua, North Macedonia, Palau, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Samoa, San Marino, Serbia, Seychelles, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Taiwan, Province of China, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States of America, Uruguay, Vanuatu, Venezuela (Bolivarian Republic of)
