The EU Blue Card is the European work permit for highly qualified workers with a university degree. For Slovenia, the minimum gross annual salary threshold is 1.5 times the average gross annual salary in Slovenia (approximately EUR 35,000-38,000 gross/year depending on annual updates). The Blue Card allows intra-EU mobility after 12 months. Holders can apply for long-term resident status after 5 years. No labor market test is required for Blue Card applications. Family members can apply for family reunification.
