For most medical procedures including joint replacements, cosmetic surgery, and fertility treatments, visa exemption provides sufficient time. If treatment requires a longer stay, visitors can apply for a 30-day extension at Thai Immigration (THB 1,900) or obtain a Non-Immigrant O visa or Tourist MT visa for medical purposes.
