The e-Vistur is an electronic visa issued since 2020 for nationals of countries that require a visa to enter Chile. It is applied for online through the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs website. The visa is single entry and valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. Applicants should apply 30-60 days before intended travel. Fees are non-refundable only if the visa is approved.

How to apply

  1. Online application

    Complete the online visa application form through the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs website.

  2. Document gathering

    Prepare all required documents including passport copy, photo, bank statements (last 3 months), accommodation proof, and flight reservations.

  3. Appointment booking

    After submitting online application, you will be contacted to visit the nearest Chilean consulate in person with all original documents.

  4. Document submission

    Visit Chilean consulate with all original documents for verification and interview.

  5. Fee payment

    Pay the visa fee at the consulate. Fee amount varies by nationality ($50-$150 USD). Fee is only charged if visa is approved.

  6. Processing wait

    Wait for visa processing to complete. The e-Vistur will be issued electronically.

  7. Visa collection

    Receive e-Vistur electronically. Print and carry it when traveling to Chile.
