Thailand grants visa exemption for up to 60 days to passport holders from 93 countries and territories. Effective since 15 July 2024, the previous 30-day exemption was extended to 60 days for most countries. Visitors may apply for a single 30-day extension at a local Thai Immigration office for a fee of THB 1,900, for a total possible stay of 90 days. Passport must be valid for at least 6 months upon arrival. Proof of onward travel and proof of adequate funds (10,000 THB per person or 20,000 THB per family) may be requested. From 1 May 2025, all travelers must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online at least 72 hours before arrival.

Tourism, short-term business meetings, visiting friends/family, attending conferences, or other non-income-earning activities. Employment or paid work is not permitted.

Document gathering
Ensure passport is valid for at least 6 months, and prepare proof of return/onward ticket, accommodation, and sufficient funds (THB 10,000 per person or THB 20,000 per family).
