The Non-Immigrant Visa B is the primary visa category for foreign workers seeking employment in Thailand. After arriving, the holder must apply for a Work Permit from the Ministry of Labour before commencing work. The employer must sponsor the application and provide company registration, financial statements, and position details. The employer submits WP3 to obtain a Ministry of Labour approval letter. The visa allows an initial 90-day stay, extendable to 1 year at Thai Immigration with a valid Work Permit. As of 31 August 2025, the B category consolidates former B, B-A, IM, IB, and EX sub-categories. The company must meet minimum THB 2 million registered capital per foreign worker (THB 1 million for BOI-promoted companies).
