Regular visa through embassy/consulate required for nationals of countries not eligible for e-visa, including Pakistan, Afghanistan (except emergency e-visa), Iraq, Syria, Somalia, and others. Tourist visa NOT available to Pakistani nationals. Persons whose parents or grandparents were born in or permanent residents of Pakistan must apply for regular visa. Duration of visa will be decided by Indian Missions/Posts subject to maximum of 5 years. Afghan nationals have separate portal with six categories of electronic visas.
