For study programs lasting between 3 and 12 months, non-EU/EEA/Swiss nationals may apply for a temporary stay visa instead of a residency visa. This is suitable for exchange programs, short courses, language courses, and training programs. No residence permit application is needed. The visa cannot be extended beyond its initial validity.
