This is a 5-to-10-year residency visa that provides a pathway for top students to live and work in the UAE after their studies. Students must have a GPA of 3.75 or above from a UAE-accredited university or be nominated by their educational institution. The visa is self-sponsored and not tied to an employer.

How to apply

1. Document gathering

   Gather passport copies, academic transcripts showing GPA of 3.75+, admission/enrollment letters, and nomination letter from institution if applicable

2. Online application

   Apply through the ICP smart services portal or GDRFA. Application can be self-sponsored or through educational institution

3. Fee payment

   Pay government fees of AED 2,800-4,000 via the online portal

4. Processing wait

   Wait 2-4 weeks for application review and approval

5. Document submission

   Upon arrival, complete medical fitness test at approved centre

6. Biometrics

   Complete Emirates ID biometrics at a typing centre

7. Visa collection

   Receive Golden Visa residence stamp in passport
