Citizens from 102 countries are granted visa-free entry to Colombia for tourism and short business trips. Immigration officers usually grant an initial 90-day stay on arrival. Maximum 180 days per calendar year allowed, even with multiple entries. Travelers must complete the Check-MIG form online between 1-72 hours before arrival.

How to apply

  1. Online application

    Complete the online visa application form on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website. Create an account and fill in all required personal, travel, and passport information.

  2. Document gathering

    Gather all required documents: passport copy, digital photo, flight reservations, hotel bookings, proof of funds, travel insurance, and travel itinerary. Ensure documents are in PDF format and photo is in JPEG format.

  3. Fee payment

    Pay the visa study fee of $50 USD online through the application portal. Payment is required before the application is reviewed.

  4. Processing wait

    Wait for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to review your application. You will receive a decision via email within 5-30 business days, typically 10-15 days.

  5. Visa collection

    Receive your e-visa via email within 10 business days after paying the issuance fee. Print a copy to present upon arrival in Colombia.
