For holders of diplomatic and service/official passports traveling on official government business. Croatia has bilateral visa-exemption agreements with numerous countries for holders of diplomatic and service passports. Many diplomatic passport holders can enter Croatia visa-free for short stays. Diplomatic staff posted to Croatia receive accreditation through the Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MVEP). A Note Verbale from the sending country's mission is required stating the purpose of the trip, cost coverage, and travel insurance. Diplomatic personnel accredited in Croatia receive a special ID card. Croatia hosts several international organizations and diplomatic missions, particularly in Zagreb.
