For non-EU journalists seeking to report from Croatia. Short-term press coverage (up to 90 days) can use a Schengen Type C visa or visa-free entry for eligible nationalities. For long-term media assignments, a Visa D and subsequent temporary stay permit are required. Journalists covering events in Croatia should carry press credentials and a letter of assignment from their media organization. Croatia's media landscape is regulated by the Agency for Electronic Media. Foreign correspondents should also register with the Croatian Journalists' Association (HND) for accreditation. Visa-free country nationals can enter without a visa for short-term press coverage.
