No Egyptian consulate outside Egypt can issue a student visa. International students must first apply for a tourist visa to enter Egypt, then convert it to a student visa after arrival. Student visa allows part-time work (up to 20 hours per week during academic term, full-time during breaks).

How to apply

1. Document gathering

   Obtain admission letter from Egyptian educational institution and gather financial documents

2. Online application

   First obtain tourist e-Visa or visa on arrival to enter Egypt

3. Fee payment

   Pay tourist visa fee initially

4. Document submission

   After arrival in Egypt, submit student visa application to immigration authorities with admission letter and supporting documents

5. Processing wait

   Wait for student visa conversion processing

6. Visa collection

   Receive student visa/residence permit
