The Short Stay Business Visa allows visa-required nationals to travel to Ireland for up to 90 days for business-related activities. Holders may work for up to 14 days subject to specific conditions. This visa is for attending meetings, conferences, trade fairs, negotiations, or short-term business activities. It does not permit long-term employment. Visa-exempt nationals can enter for business purposes without a visa.

How to apply

1. Online application

   Complete the online application on AVATS selecting 'Business' as the purpose of visit.

2. Document gathering

   Gather passport, photos, bank statements, employer letter, invitation letter from Irish host, and cover letter.

3. Fee payment

   Pay EUR 60 (single entry) or EUR 100 (multiple entry).

4. Document submission

   Submit documents to visa office or VFS centre within 30 days of AVATS application.

5. Processing wait

   Wait approximately 8 weeks for processing.

6. Visa collection

   Collect passport with visa from the submission office.
