Foreign journalists and media professionals from visa-required countries who wish to cover events, conduct interviews, or perform short-term media work in Ireland require a Short Stay C visa. This falls under the business/short-stay category. Visa-exempt nationals can enter Ireland for short-term journalist activities without a specific journalist visa. For long-term media assignments, a different immigration permission may be required.

2. Document gathering

   Gather passport, photos, media organisation letter, press credentials, event invitation/accreditation if applicable.

3. Fee payment

   Pay EUR 60 (single entry) or EUR 100 (multiple entry).

4. Document submission

   Submit documents to visa office or VFS centre.

5. Processing wait

   Wait 6-8 weeks for processing.

6. Visa collection

   Collect passport with visa.
