For non-EU/EEA nationals seeking medical treatment at a Norwegian healthcare institution. The treatment must be at an approved institution. The patient must fund the treatment themselves or through their home country's public health system. A companion may be included if the treatment institution deems it necessary. The permit can only be granted for a maximum of one year total. Applications must generally be submitted from the applicant's country of origin.
