Sweden does not have a separate journalist visa category. Journalists from visa-required countries must apply for a standard Schengen visa with journalism as the stated purpose. No general media accreditation is required to work as a journalist in Sweden, though specific event accreditation may be needed (e.g., Riksdag media accreditation). For stays over 90 days, a work permit or residence permit is required.
