Schengen Type C visa for transit through Sweden or other Schengen countries when the traveler needs to leave the airport international transit zone (e.g., to change terminals or airports). This is different from the Airport Transit Visa (Type A) which only covers the international transit zone. Nationals of Annex I countries who need to transit through Sweden and leave the transit zone must apply for this visa.

Airport Transit Visa (Type A) required for nationals of certain countries when transiting through the international transit area of a Swedish airport. Sweden follows the common EU list without additional country requirements. The visa does NOT allow leaving the international transit area of the airport. Nationals of these countries who hold a valid Schengen visa, residence permit from an EU/EEA/Schengen state, or diplomatic/service passport may be exempt.
